Review : Tatsunoko Vs Capcom Ultimate All-Stars

Remember your Wii? White box with a blue light ring a bell? Well if you like fighting games and especially love Capcom fighting games then dust of that Wii because it has a well worth while game to play in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom Ultimate All-Stars.

Like every fighting game there is no story, just endings for each character and this games endings are weird for the most part with characters from the game appearing in each others endings... even if they aren't in the series the character you finished it with is in. The games mechanics works well like all Capcom fighters and plays the same with each characters moves input codes being the same as every other game. Controls are also simplified to suit the Wiimote or Wiimote+nunchuku combo and the AI is challenging and Megaman like in every fighter he's in still sucks a fat one if you know what I mean. This game works well with every control type and is easy to pick up but like all fighters hard to master. Also a lot of the characters from the Tatsunoko side will be unfamiliar because they were never dubbed outside of Gatchaman aka Battle for the Planets and Tekkaman Blade aka Teknoman.

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom Ultimate All-Stars is ultimately a great simple fighter anyone can play easily but fighter veterans will dominate and the online play is good for a Wii game... unless you connection sucks. I give it a 4/5, it's worth playing but you may prefer Street Fighter IV over this.

Score 4/5
