Review : God Of War III

Again like most games throughout my gaming life I finished this in one day today. It was a great day too because like the games before it God Of War III is an awesome game from start to finish. I could just finish with that but I like to think I'm more professional then that. Here's my review of God Of War III, here's a hint it's definitely Game of the year!

God Of War III continues straight after God Of War II and you return as Kratos ready for his revenge. During his bloody quest you fight gods and a couple of other bosses until your final confrontation with Zeus. The games controls are the same a the last ones so you'll be able to pick up from where you left off without a problem. The quick time events on the other hand have been moved to the borders of the screen for the buttons and can be easily missed during the first few of them, I know I missed a few at the start of the game and throughout the game. Pretty much you play 1 God Of War, you've played them all. The Boss fights are awesome, the battles are awesome the game is just awesome! There are some new weapons but the aren't any different from what you've already used in the previous games which may seem lazy but hey, if it works don't fix it. Like in God Of War II you can also get items for replay bonuses like infinite magic and maxed stats and they are usually found after a boss fight or a major event, all you have to do is search carefully. The new items you get in the game are the head of Hellios which can reveal secrets, stun enemies and illuminate them. You also get Hermes greaves which make you run up and across marked walls. God Of War III is just like the last games and still manages to be awesome!

Ok this is a short review but that's because it's like the last ones and it's awesome. It's great fun and full of adults only gore. It deserves it's 5/5 score I'm giving it and it's a perfect end to the trilogy. I'd have to say that of all the games released this year it is definitely the game of the year for 2010.
