Retro Review : Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3

Ok I'm kinda scraping the barrel here with this choice, not because I don't have many game but because I am not very inspired lately for game choices for my Retro Reviews. Hopefully next week the inspiration bug bites and I really delve deep into the back catalog of games I own for a real retro classic. Anyway here's the Retro Review of the best DBZ game to date, and anyone who says otherwise really must be ignorant to how good this is in comparison to the ones before and after this game.

Story is that of the show but done in a world map kinda way which is cool I suppose but who gives a frig this game is about fighting, that's why we bought it and nothing else.... seriously. The game is a 2D fighter with a combo system of button tapping to perform special moves and the ultimate moves are perform simply by pressing all 4 buttons or the 1 button that does the same thing once for fury mode and a second time to initiate the attack to start it... assuming it connects. Combat can be fast paced with teleport attack dodge moves and so on. It has a large selection of characters to choose from and is fun for the most part.

This game pretty much is the best of the DBZ games and Namco Bandai need to make the same style game but with ALL the DBZ characters for the PS3 only... mainly because of storage space on the disc. DBZ Budokai 3 is the best in the series but like all fighting games it's only fun on your own for a short period of time but is always fun with friends.
